Naomi Watts has been asking Nicole Kidman for tips on baby toys. The Assassination of Richard Nixon star - who gave birth to her second son, Samuel Kai, on 13 December 2008 - has been baffled by which are the best gadgets to buy for her tot so has been turning to fellow new mom Nicole for recommendations. Watts says,

“We have been swapping some parenting tips. I did ask her the other day where she got her thing that she attaches to her crib that plays music. It’s very handy.”

Naomi, 40, also has a two-year-old son, Alexander, with partner Liev Schreiber. Kidman, 41, welcomed daughter Sunday Rose in July 2008.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s film Eyes wide shut has topped a poll of the 20 most underrated movies. The Stanley Kubrick film, in which Tom and Nicole starred while they were still a couple in 1999, was voted into first place by readers of totalfilm.com. It was followed by Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown and Terry Gilliam’s Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, which starred Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp.

Nicole Kidman has once again been voted the Most Fashionable Aussie in a new survey. According to the annual Rosemount O Summer Style Index, the actress grabbed the title beating former Miss Universe-turned-TV presenter Jennifer Hawkins. Cate Blanchett was at the third spot, followed by the World’s Sexiest Man Hugh Jackman, the only male in the top 10. Wrapping up the top five was the stunning singer Kylie Minogue.

A representative for Nicole Kidman is quick to deny the swirling rumors claiming the Aussie movie beauty is pregnant with her second child with husband, country music singer Keith Urban. In line with Nicole’s rep, Keith’s rep also denies the celebrity couple is expecting another child, only seven months after their daughter Sunday Rose was born.

Nicole, who has been married to Keith since June 2006, ignited second-pregnancy speculation after she was seen sporting an apparent baby bump while making a red carpet appearance at the Japan premiere of her film “Australia,” taking place in Tokyo on Thursday, February 26. The loose black dress she wore to the event added fuel to the speculation.

Accompanied by co-star Hugh Jackman, Nicole was also photographed placing both of her hands on her stomach, a body language which was assumed by the media as an indication that she indeed is pregnant.

Two-time Oscar winner Peter Frampton has slammed those critical of Nicole Kidman’s performance in Baz Luhrmann’s Australia.

“What people have to understand is that the performance they see of Nicole on the screen is that chosen by the director,” said Frampton. “She would have done anything up to 50 takes for some scenes and then Baz would pick out the one that suited his vision for her role and the movie. It has all been quite unfair the way people have gone after her when she is playing a role under his direction and the final editing is entirely out of her hands.”

Yesterday, Nicole attended the Oscars and took the stage with four former Oscar-winners (Shirley MacLaine, Sophia Loren, Halle Berry and Marion Cotillard) to honor the nominees for Best Actress. She paid tribute to Angelina Jolie for her role in The changeling, and ended her speech saying:

“Angelina Jolie, you are unforgettable!”

Kate Winslet won the Oscar for her role in The reader. Nicole was originally cast for this role but she eventually gave it up in January 2008 when she discovered she was pregnant.

Nicole was wearing a gorgeous L’Wren Scott silver dress with feathers and attended the Vanity fair oscar party after the ceremony with her husband Keith Urban.
